Carol Concert – 4th December 2024
Another sell out concert, and what a fantastic night is was!
Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s SWV Carol Concert and helped to make it such a special evening. We are always so grateful to all of the generous support shown at such fundraising events. A special thank you to all sponsors, and to everyone who made kind donations to help to support the ongoing work of SWV. And thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this fantastic event such a success.
A special thank you to our star guests – Dame Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson, Dominic West and James Purefoy for giving up their time to support SWV on this special evening.
Last year’s concert was a sell out and a huge success, and this was another concert that became a wonderful evening full of festive fun and musical delights. The extra special part of the evening was hearing directly from a few of the SWV Veterans themselves, who took the time to come and join us on this special evening and kindly shared their battles and difficulties with us all and explaining how SWV has helped them onto a brighter future.
We were delighted to welcome along Dame Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson, Dominic West and James Purefoy as our guest readers – and we were truly lucky to have Sonoro and soprano Ellie Laugharne as part of the spectacular line up too.
The concert took place on 4th December at St Colomba’s Church, Pont Street, London.
The Drinks Reception was held immediately after the Concert in the hall beneath the Church – all ticket holders were welcomed to join us for fizz and canapés, and to get the chance to buy our ‘Lucky Envelope’ prizes.
