SWV Carol Concert

15 December 2025

2nd December 2025 saw the charity's 9th Carol Concert at St Columba's Church, Pont Street, London, and what an evening it was!

We were so honoured to have Manveen Rana host the evening, General Sir Nick Carter and Gilly Norton talk about the charity's work, as well as Joseph Fiennes, Penelope Wilton and Jeremy Vine (very kindly stepping in for Lord Soames) perform readings.  Sonoro and Ellie Laugharne joined us once more too to fill the church with the most glorious music and Carols to kick off the festive season.
We were also so pleased to have Serafyma Lomeiko join us, a Ukrainian music student, who sang the first verse of Silent Night in Ukrainian so beautifully, to help us show our support for the veterans suffering during the conflict in Ukraine.

Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and joined us on the night, and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!  Thank you also to everyone who donated to The Big Give Christmas Challenge, who helped the charity raise our campaign target of £60,000, helped also by the very generous match-funding pledge from The Monday Charitable Trust.

Thank you too to all our amazing volunteers and Committee members who helped out on the day - to all our ushers, waiting staff, caterers, church decorators, welcome team and especially those who stayed until the end of the night to help clear up!

We would also like to thank Clifford ChanceHatch Mansfield & Corney and Barrow and The Big Yellow Foundation for their generous and continued support of the event.

Next year's 10th Concert will be on Wednesday 2nd December, so please do SAVE THE DATE!'
